Memorial Day BBQ with the "OCL"

Last year, my parents moved to Canton from the house where I grew up in Alpharetta. They both retired and decided to be closer to us. We are so glad for that, and definitely take advantage of it!
Over this past holiday weekend, we spent an evening at their new house with some old neighbors from the "OCL" (that is: Old Colonial Lane - yes, stickers were even made...) Sharon and Jerry Massey, Joe and Barbara Beldycki, and the Brown Family came over for burgers and hotdogs, and to meet Mallory. We had a blast. Tim and I miss the kids and wish we could see them more! (Andrew and Sarah Brown were the ring bearer and flower girl in our wedding.) Here are some pictures of the kids...

Great Granna's Visit

Tim's grandmother ("Granna" as Tim and Jordan have grown up calling her) came for a visit from Baltimore to meet her first great-granddaughter. She was so excited to hold little Mallory and got a lot of snuggle time with her. We miss her already and can't wait to see her again! Here are some pictures from her visit...

2 Months Already???

WOW! Where has the time gone? Mallory is two months old today! Our sweet baby girl is doing wonderfully and we are loving every minute we get to spend with her. She is smiling more on cue, and cooing up a storm. Her favorite person to "coo" at is her big brother! He can make her talk better than anyone. She is sleeping great for us - first stretch is about 10pm to 5am, feed, then until anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30am. One feeding during the night isn't bad! Mommy feels very rested, which is a blessing. Chasing after Tyler all day, while caring for Mallory, can be exhausting! She is still in our room in her bassinet - we just can't part quite yet! Soon enough, we'll begin to make the transition into her own room. Her two month check-up isn't until the beginning of June (Dr. Heaven is out of town), so we'll post her growing stats then.
Here are some recent pictures of Mallory...

Time for Tea

My mom and my two great friends, Jennifer Morrow and Allyson Clifford, were gracious enough to host a fabulous afternoon tea on Sunday in honor of Mallory's arrival. It was such a fun, girly afternoon. The food was delicious and the tea just perfect. It means so much to me that people took time out of their Sunday afternoon to come and visit with us and meet Mallory. If you were there, "thank you!" It was a blast visiting with friends we hadn't seen in a while and meeting some of the new little ones for the first time. It was a perfect celebration.Mallory Kendall on her special day.

Lily Pad Paper

I guess you could say this is the first "official" blog posting of my business, Lily Pad Paper. It is a stationery and paper gift business that I started about 2 1/2 years ago out of my home. It has been growing since, and is doing pretty well. You could call it my "creative outlet". For those of you who know me well, I don't sit still. So, this is my way to let out those creative juices that are a flowin' and make some money while doing it. I love it and thank my husband for supporting me through it.
This past Saturday, I made my second appearance at a market called the Geranium Festival in McDonough, Georgia. My great friend Jennifer Morrow lives in that area and introduced me to the festival last year. It was, once again, a great market and we had a blast. I hired my hubby to join me and help out, and Mallory tagged along. Tyler spent some time with his grandparents throughout the day.
I have put together a blog for Lily Pad, as well. I have a website, but it is currently under construction, so I am using the blog in the meantime. Feel free to brouse, shop, spend $$$ and pass me along to others! I updated it all the time, so save as a fav.
Here are some pics from the festival...

Good Food, Great Friends

Josh and Danielle McGinn were kind enough to host a casual bbq in honor of Mallory's arrival. So, we spend Sunday afternoon eating and hanging out with some great friends (the girls chatted it up while the guys played Wii). Mallory received some adorable outfits to add to her wardrobe! Everyone was so sweet and generous. We have such amazing friends!
