4 MONTHS, ALREADY?!?!

As I say in practically every entry: "Where does the time go?"

I can't believe it has been 4 months (and 6 days - but, whose counting...) since my sweet little Mallory came into the world! She is such a little blessing and is starting all of those "firsts", little by little. She found her feet, grabs and holds toys, and is trying to sit up in her chair! Okay, okay, so these aren't "monumental" things like rolling over, saying your first word or taking your first step, but a mom and brag, right??? We are little out of whack with our appointments, so when she has her 4 month check-up in a few weeks, we'll post her latest stats.
We'd like to welcome a new friend into the world - Andrew Patrick Wolfe!
We can't wait to meet you next week!
Here are some recent pictures of her over the last few weeks:

One very happy baby!

Sleeping Beauty.

(If only it were through the night!)

I found my toes, mom!

MY LITTLE FIRE FIGHTERS

Well, most of you know, Tyler is obsessed with fire trucks, fire stations, and anything else fire-fighting related! He has such a little imagination and pretends he is a fire fighter all the time. He tried getting his little sister in on the action, as well as Maggie. That poor dog!
(I think a fire truck birthday party is in Tyler's future....anyone know of a local fire station that hosts parties???)

IT'S BLUEBERRY SEASON!!!

We have found the perfect place to pick blueberries! Berry Patch Farms on Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock. http://www.berrypatchfarms.net/
They are yummy, healthy and you can eat them straight off the bush!
Here are some pictures of Tyler and his friends, Kyle, Ryan and Emma Tipper and Teagan Swanepoel picking some berries.
I am going to post some of my favorite blueberry recipes on my journal blog.

PEACHTREE ROAD RACE

This was the third time I have run the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta. I ran it back in 2004 and 2005, as well. For those non-Atlanta natives, this is a huge 4th of July tradition in our city. The world's largest 10k race. It is HUGE. I think there were over 55,000 participants. Dan and Colleen (McCann) Cichy were in town from Colorado, so we did it together.
Let me just tell you how big this thing is: they split you up into 9 groups (several thousand in each group) and stagger your start. The race started at 7:30am and we crossed the starting line at 8:45am. We finished close to 10:15 (Dan at 9:45) and it was pretty darn HOT! They changed the last mile of the course since the last time I participated and it was pretty much all uphill. AGH! We successfully ran half of the 10k (6.2 miles) and then walked another 2-3 miles after the finish to get to our car. It was a very fun, but exhausting event! I will post our own pictures as I get them downloaded, but for now, here is a link to the photo company who took pictures along the way.......
